Why is the AM2 not included?

The AM2 is assessed by the NET. This will require you to visit a dedicated AM2 assessment centre. When you have completed your portfolio and observations you will be advised to book your AM2 at a centre which is convenient for you.

I have more than 5 years experience, should I consider the Experienced worker Assessment?

If you have more than 5 years of experience you should consider the C&G 2346 Experienced Worker Assessment. Many learners complete this quickly as we can accept historical evidence. We will only accept learners on the experienced worker assessment if they hold a Level 3 Initial Verification qualification, such as 2391-50 or 2391-52, or equivalent.

How can I complete the NVQ quicker?

The speed of completion depends on how quickly you can cover and evidence the range of work required.

Skills Bootcamps are short and flexible training programmes which are subsidised by the Department for Education, which can last up to 16 weeks, based on employer and sector in-demand skills needs.

The Skills Bootcamps are aimed at adults, aged 19+, who are in full-time/part-time employment, unemployed or self-employed – and designed to meet the needs of employers and the wider economy with targeted training programmes to meet in-demand vacancies

If you are self-employed you could still be eligible for funding if you can show that you will be able to take on new work or offer a new service once trained. If in doubt please fill out an application form and we will call you to discuss the options.

You may be eligible to apply for a Skills Bootcamp if you:

are aged 19 or over
have the right to work in the UK
live in England
meet residency requirements – the training provider can check this
by doing the bootcamp, must create more work or opportunity for the candidate within that business

If you claim Universal Credit, you can apply and continue to claim benefits.

Some Skills Bootcamps have additional eligibility criteria. Contact the training provider to check if you’re eligible and apply for the course.
