Skills Bootcamps
NASC – National Access & Scaffolding Confederation in partnership with City & Guilds Training are proud to offer a programme of Skills Bootcamps for Scaffolding Training, this includes CISRS Part 1 and 2 as well as Advanced Courses and New Entrant – Scaffolding Operative.
Our Skills Bootcamps for Scaffolding Training are available in partnership with the NASC (National Access & Scaffolding Confederation) and offer 70-90% funding for CISRS Part 1, 2 and Advanced Courses and 100% funding for New Entrant – Scaffolding Operative. The NVQ and Skills Assessments can also be booked separately.
NASC is the national trade body for access and scaffolding in the UK. Established 1945, it now serves over 800 leading contracting firms, scaffolding suppliers, manufacturers and clients, representing 80% of UK scaffolding spend*.
It produces leading safety and technical guidance for scaffolding contractors, operatives and clients accepted as industry standard by HSE, Build UK, NFB, CITB and principal contractors.
NASC strongly supports the Skills Bootcamps initiative as a way to attract fresh talent to the scaffolding and access sector, addressing skills shortages and providing new employment opportunities. Collaborating with City & Guilds Training helps to broaden the availability of training nationwide and is part of our commitment to a truly inclusive approach to training across the sector.

Skills Bootcamps offer free, flexible courses of up to 16 weeks. They are available for adults aged 19 or over who are either in work, seeking a new role or recently unemployed and live in England. They give people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills which are relevant to gain employment.
As part of the Lifetime Skills Guarantee, the Government has invested into a series of ‘Skills for Life’ Bootcamps, to provide a range of flexible training options targeting specific industries and aimed at equipping individuals with necessary skills for working in sectors with high job demand, providing learners with job-ready skills
Eligibility to enrol on a Skills Bootcamp depends on factors including age, employment status, and residency status.

OUR TRAINING CENTRES
Our electrical training facilities at Mitre Court and Explorer 2 are just 2 minutes south of Gatwick Airport. They are comfortable, light and airy environments in which students can learn a wide range of practical and theory based skills.
Phoenix House has raised the bar for electrical training centres in the UK. It’s situated east of Leeds, just off of the M1 / A1. This makes it easily accessible from Leeds, Sheffield, Hull, York, Harrogate and all over Yorkshire.
Situated in the scenic location of Port Solent, our Portsmouth Training Centre offers lots of bright, light spaces to train in. We also have a state-of-the-art test track to deliver our industry-leading rail training courses such as PTS Practical Event, DCCR, COSS and many more.
As one of our 3 engineering and nuclear training centres in Cumbria, our Workington training facility provides a comfortable, light and airy environment in which learners from across the region can learn a wide range of practical and theory based skills.
Our Purley training centre offers Safety Critical, Track Engineering, Small Plant, Signalling & Telecoms, Health & Safety, CITB and Electrical training for learners across South London.
In partnership with Coleg y Cymoedd, our training centre in Nantgarw is located just 8 miles from Cardiff city centre and offers a comprehensive programme of open courses for learners in the surrounding areas.
Centrally located in Lightburn Trading Estate, our Gen2 Furness Skills Centre offers a large range of training courses and workshops to learners across Cumbria.
