Our Project Planning & Control certification scheme was developed in partnership with the Association for Project Management (APM) and is based on their guide “Planning, Scheduling, Monitoring and Control – The Practical Project Management of Time, Cost and Risk” 

Through this course, you will equip yourself with essential skills to implement top-tier planning, monitoring, and control strategies. Enhance your project’s success and ensure precise adherence to scope. Develop industry expertise through real-world scenarios, enabling you to lead projects effectively and deliver exceptional results. Engage in 5 days of virtual learning, where you will cover both the Foundation & Practitioner level, delivered via Adobe Connect. The first 3 days of learning will focus on the Foundation qualification and the last 2 will focus on the Practitioner.

  • Project Planning & Control guidance, training & certification is applicable to a variety of key project management roles including planning managers & engineers and project control managers & engineers. It will also benefit other roles including cost engineers, project managers and project support team members.  
  • Ideal for you if you prefer the flexibility of learning from your own space – with constant guidance from expert facilitators

This programme covers the following topics:  

  • The approaches and key products used to gain a clear definition of a project  
  • The approaches and techniques used to plan and close a project  
  • The scheduling techniques and appropriate presentation of the outputs  
  • The management of risk in the planning, execution and evaluation of a project 
  • The practices and data used for rigorous monitoring to enable proactive control of the projec

Assessment

  • The Foundation exam will be sat on the afternoon of the 3rd day and the Practitioner exam will be sat on the afternoon of the 5th day.  
  • Please note: If you do not pass the Foundation exam, you are still eligible to take the Practitioner course and exam. After completing the Practitioner exam, a provisional result will be displayed onscreen. If you pass, you’ll need to retake and pass the Foundation exam promptly to officially confirm and release your Practitioner result
