Construction Site Supervisor (SSSTS)
The Construction Site Supervisor (SSSTS) Installation Skills Bootcamp is designed for those who have, or are about to acquire, supervisory responsibilities. The course covers all relevant legislation and other aspects which affect safe working in the building, construction and civil engineering industries. Highlighting the need for risk assessment in the workplace, the implementation of the necessary control measures, and adequate communication, the course will help learners to facilitate a health and safety culture among their workforce.
The SSSTS course course is endorsed by Build UK and exceeds the standard set by CITB for construction supervisors training
This course has been developed specifically for the Government Skills Bootcamps, meaning you could get full or partial funding for this course.

Skills Bootcamps offer flexible courses of up to 16 weeks that are free to learners. If you are unemployed, self-employed or an employer looking to upskill your staff in electrical installation, construction, rail or green skills we have funding opportunities that can vastly reduce the cost of training with us and in some cases fully fund it*.
* Based on the size of the business, employers may have to pay a small contribution.

What's included?
On the Construction Site Supervisor (SSSTS) Skills Bootcamp, learners will receive comprehensive training on safe working in the building, construction and civil engineering industries.
The course includes:
- IAG, employer presentation on transition from
Operative to Supervisor - CITB Site Safety Supervisor Training Scheme
- CITB Temporary Works Supervisor
- Developing as a team leader – role/responsibilities
of a team leader - Solving problems/making decisions – as required by practising/potential site supervisor
- Performance through people – leadership/
interpersonal skills - Planning/monitoring work in construction – as required by practicing/potential site supervisor
- CITB SEATS – environmental knowledge required of
sub-contract chain, environmental aspects of new HS&E touch screen test - Risk Assessment/Reporting Accidents. -Management of Health and Safety Regulations 1999 and workplace risk assessment
- Spills – safely store/use/transport dangerous substances, minimising risk

Our Construction Site Supervisor (SSSTS) Skills Bootcamp will cover all relevant legislation and other aspects which affect safe working in the building, construction and civil engineering industries.
The course aims to help site supervisors to:
• supervise health and safety on site in accordance with current legal provisions and within the context of their role
• develop an understanding of responsibility and accountability for site health, safety and welfare of
workers on site

Who are Skills Bootcamps for?
Skills Bootcamps are short and flexible training programmes which are subsidised by the Department for Education, which can last up to 16 weeks, based on employer and sector in-demand skills needs.
The Skills Bootcamps are aimed at adults, aged 19+, who are in full-time/part-time employment, unemployed or self-employed – and designed to meet the needs of employers and the wider economy with targeted training programmes to meet in-demand vacancies
Can I do a Skills Bootcamp if I am self-employed?
If you are self-employed you could still be eligible for funding if you can show that you will be able to take on new work or offer a new service once trained. If in doubt please fill out an application form and we will call you to discuss the options.
What is the eligibility for a Skills Bootcamp?
You may be eligible to apply for a Skills Bootcamp if you:
- are aged 19 or over
- have the right to work in the UK
- live in England
- meet residency requirements – the training provider can check this
- by doing the bootcamp, must create more work or opportunity for the candidate within that business
If you claim Universal Credit, you can apply and continue to claim benefits.
Some Skills Bootcamps have additional eligibility criteria. Contact the training provider to check if you’re eligible and apply for the course.
