Tailored for professionals in the Rail, Electrical, Engineering or Nuclear industries, our Skills Academy offers a seamless transition into a teaching role.Our comprehensive re-training programmes are not just accessible but also free* (*subject to successful application & interview).
Course Itinerary

Course Itinerary

For professionals currently working in industry, our classes are delivered over nine weeks and are broken down as follows:

  • Week 1: Induction, Soft Skills
  • Week 2 – 5: Professional Qualification
  • Week 6: Micro-Teaching Sessions
  • Week 7: Compliance Workshops
  • Week 8: E-Learning (Mandatory)
  • Week 9: Health & Safety

Upon completion of our nine-week programme, individuals will achieve the certificates they need to work at City & Guilds Training as a core part of our Education & Delivery team.

  • Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement
  • Level 3 Award in Education and Training
  • Institution of Occupational Safety & Health – Managing Safely

  • Qualsafe Level 3 Award Emergency First Aid at Work (RCF)

Working as a City & Guilds Trainer

Once verified as a City & Guilds trainer, individuals will receive a unique opportunity – a guaranteed employment contract** (**subject to availability, achievement of attainment grades, & references).

And that’s not all. Those that successfully complete our nine-week programme will also benefit from access to a resource hub with up-to-date support and industry specific materials.

The resources available support continuous professional improvement, as well as the option to include some of the materials in lesson plans.
