Signal Maintenance Testing Handbook (SMTH) Initial

This advanced course is meticulously designed for members of staff who can lead a Signalling Maintenance and Fault Finding Team. It provides the in-depth knowledge and practical skills required to perform critical testing procedures and manage complex documentation within the rail signalling environment.

ico ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Experience assisting with fault finding on signalling equipment and be competent.

Must be minimum age of 18

Must have a good level of literacy to meet entry qualifications

Must meet the medical requirements of the current Network Rail Standard to Level 2.

Must meet the requirements of the current Network Rail Drug & Alcohol Standard.

Attended signalling specific training courses such as Signal Engineering Maintenance 1 and 2 (SEM1 & SEM2) or an equivalent.

Prior to attending have successfully passed the pre SMTH initial training knowledge test
