The Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation Skills Bootcamp is designed for those who wish to learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment and/or career progression in the electrotechnology sector. Successful candidates will also achieve a City and Guilds Requirements for the Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) qualification.
This course has been developed specifically for the Government Skills Bootcamps, meaning you could get full or partial funding for this course.
CITY & GUILDS TRAINING
Skills Bootcamps offer flexible courses of up to 16 weeks that are free to learners. If you are unemployed, self-employed or an employer looking to upskill your staff in electrical installation or green skills we have funding opportunities that can vastly reduce the cost of training with us and in some cases fully fund it*.
* Based on the size of the business, employers may have to pay a small contribution.

Our Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation Skills Bootcamp will provide the essential skills and knowledge required for success in the electrical installation industry. Specifically tailored for industry, our Level 2 Diploma not only equips you with the technical proficiency demanded by the field but it will also set you on your way towards becoming a qualified electrician.
Learners will undertake electrical installation work and will learn to install many circuits commonly found in domestic properties.
Introduction to electrical theory and Building Regulations relevant to domestic wiring.
Develop skills in inspection/testing and learn processes, practices, and procedures for carrying out a full electrical test/completing relevant paperwork
Practice referencing wiring regulations and understanding the purpose, layout, and content.
eLearning modules in preparation for commercial workshops and classroom sessions.
A series of electrical installation works to learn to fabricate electrical containment systems found in commercial and industrial premises.
Practical summative assessments on health, safety, and practical installation works
Completion of electrical science and installation theory modules and summative assessment on electrical installation theory and principles of electrical science
If you have been working in industry for some time existing jobs can be used as evidence to speed the process up.
If you have a large variety of work you can complete it quicker, if you are doing the same thing day in and day out then you will find it harder to provide the full range of evidence required.

Skills Bootcamps are short and flexible training programmes which are subsidised by the Department for Education, which can last up to 16 weeks, based on employer and sector in-demand skills needs.
The Skills Bootcamps are aimed at adults, aged 19+, who are in full-time/part-time employment, unemployed or self-employed – and designed to meet the needs of employers and the wider economy with targeted training programmes to meet in-demand vacancies
If you are self-employed you could still be eligible for funding if you can show that you will be able to take on new work or offer a new service once trained. If in doubt please fill out an application form and we will call you to discuss the options.

Phoenix House has raised the bar for electrical training centres in the UK. It’s situated east of Leeds, just off of the M1 / A1. This makes it easily accessible from Leeds, Sheffield, Hull, York, Harrogate and all over Yorkshire.
Situated in the scenic location of Port Solent, our Portsmouth Training Centre offers lots of bright, light spaces to train in. We also have a state-of-the-art test track to deliver our industry-leading rail training courses such as PTS Practical Event, DCCR, COSS and many more.
As one of our 3 engineering and nuclear training centres in Cumbria, our Workington training facility provides a comfortable, light and airy environment in which learners from across the region can learn a wide range of practical and theory based skills.
Our Purley training centre offers Safety Critical, Track Engineering, Small Plant, Signalling & Telecoms, Health & Safety, CITB and Electrical training for learners across South London.
In partnership with Coleg y Cymoedd, our training centre in Nantgarw is located just 8 miles from Cardiff city centre and offers a comprehensive programme of open courses for learners in the surrounding areas.
Centrally located in Lightburn Trading Estate, our Gen2 Furness Skills Centre offers a large range of training courses and workshops to learners across Cumbria.
